This joint initiative was presented to BBP3KP (Balai Besar Pengujian Penerapan Produk Kelautan dan Perikanan), a government agency under Indonesia's Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries responsible for testing, validation, and implementation of marine and fisheries products and technologies. The initiative explores collaboration opportunities for a community development program focused on converting marine and coastal waste into value-added products, including chitosan, fish meal, and liquid organic fertilizer. Through training, technology transfer, and pilot implementation with coastal communities, the program aims to reduce environmental pollution, create new economic opportunities, strengthen local capacities, and support sustainable blue economy development in Indonesia.
