Job Description
HY Aquaculture Sdn. Bhd. (HY) is seeking an intern to support the Aquaculture Team at its shore office and HDPE cage farm located 5 nautical miles offshore from Kuala Kurau, Perak, Malaysia.
Responsibilities
The intern will undergo on-the-job training and gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of aquaculture operations, including:
- Fingerling handling and stocking
- Daily fish feeding
- Net washing and farm maintenance
- Fish grading/sorting and harvesting
- Basic biosecurity practices
- Field and inventory record-keeping (manual and digital)
Requirements
- Malaysian candidates (Male or Female) pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture or related fields
- Knowledge and practical ability to work with live fish
- A basic understanding of fish breeding is an added advantage
- Ability to record, organize, and enter data accurately (Excel or similar tools)
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in both onshore and offshore environments, including under field conditions
