  • Internships and Work Experience
PERSATUAN NELAYAN NEGERI MELAKA (January 2021 - June 2021) • Cultivated tiger prawns (from juvenile stage) in pond environments, gaining hands-on experience with the full production cycle. Participated regularly in the harvesting process, collecting mature prawns for sale or evaluation. Measured and recorded prawn growth performance, monitoring progress weekly. • Performed routine water quality checks, including monitoring of key parameters such as temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia to maintain healthy pond conditions. Helped with daily feeding routines, including adjusting feed amounts and schedules to match prawn needs and growth stages. • Assisted with cleaning, maintenance and preparation of the culture pond, including siphoning waste, removing debris, and maintaining aeration equipment to ensure proper water circulation and oxygen levels. Prepared pond and equipment before each cycle: draining old water, cleaning pond surfaces, applying necessary treatments (like liming), and ensuring proper pond hygiene for disease prevention. • Maintained records of growth data, water quality, feeding regimes, and any notable observations for reporting and analysis.
  • Volunteering and Community Service
MARINE GEOLOGIST VOLUNTEER | Research Vessel Tan Kah Kee Open Days (July 2024 – August 2024) • Assisted researchers in preparing and operating soil coring equipment, including soil corers and gravity corers, essential for marine sediment sampling • Learned and applied techniques for soil color reading and analysis to support sediment characterization • Contributed to data collection and prepared detailed reports summarizing soil properties and findings • Supported setup and coordination of coring equipment to ensure smooth field operations • Promoted marine research and public engagement through active participation in outreach events, fostering greater awareness and understanding of marine geology.
  • Research Projects
Final Year Project (FYP) (DIPLOMA): Studying the Effects of Yakult Culture Drink on the Growth Performance of Iridescent Shark (Pangasianodon hypopthalmus) in an Aquarium. • Focused on how probiotics in Yakult influence fish growth in an aquarium environment. • Evaluated health and development parameters of the fish under controlled conditions. • Measure and calculate the growth performance of Iridescent Shark. Final Year Project (FYP) (BACHELOR): Effect of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum K014 on Growth Performance of Giant Freshwater Prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii sp.) • To calculate and measure the growth performance of Giant Freshwater Prawn. • To see the effectiveness of post biotic by using three different of treatment. • The data will be calculated by using IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0.1.0. and Microsoft Excel for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2505 Build 16.0.18827.20102).
